In order to make your holding “real” and
bring Sgarabhaigh in some measure into your home, both metaphorically
and practically, two packages of artefacts have been put together
to accompany your Associate Ownership to provide tangible proof
of your interest in the island as well as a solid provenance
for the holding. The packages have been carefully planned and lovingly
assembled in an attempt to reflect the value of the ‘Holding’ and
the quality of the island.
Both Packages confer the full rights to the island, but as you will see below the Sgarabhaigh Package is a Rolls Royce of gifts bringing with it extra artifacts and real material organic and mineral links to the island. They both make a wonderful and very special gift of a life time for a life time.
The Contract Package is comprised of:
An Associate Owners Certificate – set out in a Celtic design, embossed with the Company seal and signed by the Company Chairman. |
A DVD Film – made to bring Sgarabhaigh into your home, let you see its wildlife and other features of the Outer Hebrides. |
A Sgarabhaigh Passport - modelled on the old 10 Year British passport, this document will provide evidence for right of access to the island and allow you to keep a record of all of your visits. There will be outlets in Leverburgh where you will be able to get the passport endorsed with the dated Sgarabhaigh Passport Agency stamp. This will add to the provenance records of the passport. The usual French used in the original British passport has been appropriately translated into Gaelic. |
Contract - this formally confers the Associate Ownership rights and is engrossed with the Company Seal and contained in a special deed envelope. |
Holding Renewal Form – This form records which family member the Associate Owner wishes to pass the ‘Holding’ onto and thereby retain and perpetuate the family link established with Sgarabhaigh, the Western Isles and Scotland. |
This package is all you need to have your own Scottish island in the islands. |
The Sgarabhaigh Package is comprised of:
An Oak Presentation Box – solid oak box built to keep all its contents safe for all time with a personalised engraved brass plate set in the lid. |

A DVD Film – made to bring Sgarabhaigh into your home, let you see its wildlife and other features of the Outer Hebrides. |

Glass Phials – one containing sand from the Sound and one containing peat from the island thus providing a mineral link to the area and an organic link to the island. |
Brass Seals / Sealing Wax Sticks – one seal to demonstrate the design and the other to allow you to use the sealing wax sticks to seal your own letters or presents as a joint island owner. |
Island Wax Seal – made from sealing wax from a company in Edinburgh, which has made the wax since 1742, and cast in the design of the island seal. This seal contains a micro-chip with a unique number to allow validation of the ‘Holding’ if challenged. |
